Tonight's Game Awards have been chock full of new announcements, award presentations, and more. Of course, some of the "World Premiere" trailers were already being rumored before the show; however, Geoff Keighley and his team still had a few tricks up their sleeves. One of the bigger ones was the reveal of Bravely Default 2 on Nintendo Switch. Check out the reveal trailer below.

Unfortunately, not too much was actually revealed in this trailer. Mostly, the trailer was just backgrounds of gorgeous art and text telling us that the game is being developed by Team Asano, the developers behind the Bravely series and Octopath Traveler. At the very tail end of the trailer, we get a quick look at what appears to be an in-game scene. It's just a super basic panning shot of what are presumably the protagonists, but it gives you an idea of what expect in terms of graphics.

All of that, I'm not sure if Bravely Default 2 needs much in the way of an in-game trailer. Fans of the series know what to expect and we're sure to get many more trailers as we near release. While information about the game is minimal, this is a great way to generate some hype around a beloved product. Hopefully, Team Asano continues to build on the excellent foundation they've built with both Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler. At the very least, we know that the game will look absolutely gorgeous.

Bravely Default 2 will come exclusively to Nintendo Switch in 2020. Stay with DualShockers for all of the news coming out The Game Award tonight.
