Bravely Default: For The Sequel Gets “Bravely Second” Feature, New Screenshots, Microtransactions

Square Enix just released a batch of new information  and screenshots on the upcoming 3DS JRPG Bravely Default: For The Sequel.

We learn about a new feature called Bravely Second. By consuming a new kind of points called SP instead of BP (Brave Points) you can stop time and have your characters perform a new action thanks to which it’s possible to break the limit of 9,999 damage inflicted to the enemy.

SP are gained by keeping your 3DS in sleep mode, but they can also be acquired by purchasing a special “SP Drink” at the Nintendo eShop. Without the drink most players will be able to trigger the Bravely Second a couple times a day.

You can use the Bravely Second even when you have zero SP, by “borrowing” one in advance (which will bring them to -1), but it cannot be used if your SP are negative.

To illustrate this new “feature” (air quotes are obligatory, as it sounds almost like a paid cheat) Square Enix released a large batch of screenshots, that you can enjoy in the gallery below.
