Bravely Second: End Layer released in Japan in April of 2015 as a sequel to 2012’s Bravely Default. Both games were celebrated by the RPG community for creating a beautiful world with a strong cast as well as creating a unique battle system.
Today, being the sequel’s 2nd anniversary, the Bravely team announced that the Nintendo 3DS exclusive has reached over 700k in units sold worldwide. The developer goes on to thank the community for their support and included that the iOS/Android exclusive Bravely Default: Fairy Effect is also preforming quite well.
However, this is short of the 1 million world wide sale Bravely Default received in around the same amount of time. Still, it’s a huge accomplishment for a handheld exclusive released so late in the hardware’s lifetime.
Currently, Bravely’s series producer Tomoya Asano is in charge of the Nintendo Switch exclusive Octopath Traveler.
