Back in August, Angry Mob Games confirmed that they would be bringing its competitive platform fighter Brawlout to Nintendo Switch this year. Today, we finally got a release date that delivers on that promise: December 19.

This actually makes the Nintendo Switch version of Brawlout the first console port to release, as the PS4 and Xbox One versions aren't slated to release until early next year. The Switch version of the game will support all of the Switch's various controllers and ways to play the system.

Alongside this release date announcement, another guest fighting was revealed for the title: Juan from Guacamelee!. Being a luchador, Juan has his fair share of moves, including his Rooster Uppercut and Frog Slam combo, and his multi-functional Grapple. You can see him in action in the latter half of the release date reveal trailer. I am happy to see Juan included, as his moveset lends itself well to a fighting game, and his appearance here will make more people aware of him before the release of Guacamelee! 2 next year.

You can check out the Nintendo Switch release date trailer below. Brawlout is currently available on PC, will come to Nintendo Switch on December 19, and is poised to release on PS4 and Xbox One in early 2018.
