There always seems to be new mysteries to uncover in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and today is no exception. Twitter user らっしー discovered and posted a glitch that gives fans a greater taste of the level of detail and care put into the expansive open world:

It's quite breathtaking to see coral, fish, rock formations, and other nifty details in this bit of water. What makes it even more interesting is the possible reasons behind it.

Maybe this was a way of fleshing out the world even more which, considering that easter eggs like these are still being discovered over two years after the game's initial release, is highly probable. It could also be indicative of some sort of underwater swimming or diving mechanic that had to be scrapped in the end, which is also certainly possible. Regardless, I hope we'll continue to see more of these cool little secrets hidden away in Breath of the Wild.

A sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was officially announced during Nintendo's E3 Direct earlier this month. The reason for said sequel is because Eiji Aonuma stated that the development team had way too many DLC ideas. Which of course means that an underwater mechanic is definitely possible.

And while Nintendo won't say whether Zelda will be a playable character or not, you can see all the things we at DualShockers do hope to be in the final game (which includes letting us play as Princess Zelda).
