Brief Battles Shows How This Party Game Hits Below the Belt in New Trailer

Brief Battles is a cheeky 4-player party game that's set to bring underwear-fuelled warfare to consoles and PC early next year.

Chaotic 2D party titles usually provide endless hours of fun. The only thing that could make them more entertaining would be playing them in your underwear. Luckily, that’s where Brief Battles comes in; delivering fast-paced multiplayer action fueled by the power of underpants. And yes, you did read that last line correctly.

Brief Battles from Southern Australian development outfit Juicy Cupcake was originally announced last year. However, it has now reared its head once again in preparation for its upcoming release on consoles and PC.

The game centers around the concept of wearing different pairs of underpants in order to use certain powers and gain the advantage over your opponents in an all-out brawl. Among the super-powered undies on display are a pair of icy briefs, classless leopard prints for extra speed, a disgusting set of grimy Y-fronts with toxic capabilities, and a firey pair of hot pants.

There are 50 arenas available spanning from sandy deserts and thick forests to underground mines; each providing a different layout for up to four players to battle in. To top it off, there are also a number of challenge stages that can be played solo or co-operatively.

Brief Battles is due for release early next year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
