British Retailer Tesco Lists Dark Souls II for the PS4 and Xbox One

From Software’s highly anticipated RPG Dark Souls II is currently confirmed to be in development for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. There’s been no mention of an Xbox One or PS4 version of the game, which seems a tad bit odd given its March 2014 release date. A recent listing at the British retail chain Tesco suggests that the game will indeed be releasing for next gen platforms. Right now you can pre-order Dark Souls II for the Xbox One and PS4 from Tesco, with these versions costing¬†¬£55.00 (which is roughly $86.00 USD and a full ¬£10.00 more than the PS360 versions).

I think this is almost certainly an error of some sort and I fully expect the PS4 and Xbox One listings to be removed once this news starts making the rounds. Swedish retailer CDON listed Demon’s Souls 2 for the PS4 early last month, so this isn’t the first hint we’ve gotten that From Software’s sequel will reach next gen consoles. Treat this as rumor until further notice, but I’ve definitely got my fingers crossed for this.
