British Supermarket Pulls Wii U from Shelves

on July 29, 2013 6:17 PM

Today, Asda, the United Kingdom’s second largest supermarket chain, announced they were pulling the Wii U and Wii U games from their shelves. However, the company will continue to sell the console and games online.

Asda continues to offer customers a selection of Wii U games and accessories through Asda Direct, but these ranges are currently not on offer in Asda shops.

Asda has yet to reveal why they have pulled the Wii U from their shelves.

This news comes at the end of a strong month for Nintendo, but proves that rising stocks do not predict the success of a system. Let’s hope this serves as a wake up call for Nintendo.
