Released for the last-gen consoles and PC in 2013, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons grabbed many critics and players for its emotional story and unique gameplay, with the title now journeying out to current-gen consoles next month.

Publisher 505 Games announced that Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons will release for PS4 and Xbox One on August 12th, 2015 with the new version to premiere digitally first on PSN and Xbox Live, respectively. No pricing for the new versions have been announced just yet, though the game currently retails for $14.99 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Following the digital releases on PS4 and Xbox One in August, physical releases for the current-gen version of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons will debut on September 1st, 2015 in the US, with a September 4th, 2015 launch scheduled for Europe. Mobile versions of the game for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone are expected to release "this holiday season," according to 505 Games.

In addition to bringing over the original title to the current-gen consoles, the upcoming release of Brothers will also provide players with additional content, such as a director's commentary mode, a concept art gallery, and a copy of the game's soundtrack.
