Bubsy fans havebeen  nervously waiting for the release of Bubsy: Paws on Fire! for Nintendo Switch over the past month and a half. It was one of the most hotly anticipated platforms the auto runner was slated for, but it missed the May 16 launch of the PC and PS4 versions. That being said, Bubsy never lets anyone down so Choice Provisions and Accolades are finally delivering Bubsy: Paws on Fire! for Nintendo Switch on August 29. Check out his announcement trailer below:

Considering that the fantastic feline began his life on the SNES, it is only fitting that he has found his way home to a Nintendo console after being led astray on Sony systems with Bubsy 3D and Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back. The Bubsy community has been clamoring for him to come to the Nintendo Switch, even since The Woolies Strike Back released, so all of those right-minded individuals should pleased come August.

What makes this release even better is that Bubsy: Paws on Fire! is actually a decent game. No really. Please believe me. I'm not crazy. As long as the Nintendo Switch port doesn't have any major technical issues, it should be a pretty fun time for auto runner fans. And when has a Bubsy game ever been that bad from a technical standpoint.

If having Bubsy digitally on your Nintendo Switch isn't enough, Accolade is also releasing Bubsy: Paws on Fire! Limited Edition physically. This version of the game will come with a mini CD sampler of the game's great soundtrack as well as a Player's Guide. That being said, it will have a limited one time run (I mean, limited is right there in the title), so it may become rare following its initial launch. If you are bold enough to pre-order a Bubsy game, you can currently do so for the Nintendo Switch version of Bubsy: Paws on Fire! Limited Edition on Amazon.

Bubsy: Paws on Fire! is currently available for PC and PS4 and will be hitting Nintendo Switch on August 29. As Bubsy is finally coming home to Nintendo, I will leave you with this image of Bubsy's head on Mario's shirtless body that I will never let die:
