Yesterday, developer Neat Corporation provided an update on the development of its forthcoming title Budget Cuts, which will now launch on Thursday, May 31 on Steam and the Oculus store.
This news comes from the official announcements tab on the game’s Steam page. Which the developer unveils that the reason the game was pushed back from its original May 16 launch to May 31 was due to some unforeseen obstacles during the title’s development stages. To further elaborate, the developer was not happy with the game’s current state and believed that the game needed more a bit more time for polish. Of course, it’s quite common for games to get delayed and personally, I would rather a game get delayed and have a better experience instead of a game being launched when it was not ready.
Initially announced in January 2016, Budget Cuts is an action-adventure stealth title developed and published by Neat Corporation In Budget Cuts, players control a secret agent who works for a tight-lipped company and is tasked with infiltrating other firms. To successfully perform these missions, players must utilize a teleportation title, which is provided by the employer. The teleportation gun can be used to fire at windows and break through corridors. During these situations, players will have to duck and squeeze through tight spaces and complete their mission. Essentially, this game is the closest thing to Portal VR currently available on the market.
