With only two weeks to go till release, developer Young Horses has released a launch trailer for Bugsnax. You can watch the trailer below. New merch for the game has also been announced.

The trailer gives players an idea of what the game's story is. You play as a journalist who's made it to Snaktooth Island and it's up to you to find Elizabert Megafig, an island explorer. Along the way, you'll meet several island residents and discover dozen of Bugsnax creatures all over Snaktooth. You'll discover the secrets of Snaktooth Island, who Elizabert is, and where the Bugsnax came from. Additionally, there will be 100 different types of Bugsnax to discover all throughout the island.

That's not the only news to come out. Over on Fangamer, you can preorder a physical edition of the game for the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 for $39. The physical edition won't ship till early next year. In addition to the game, you can preorder a Bugsnax shirt, pin set, and a Strabby plushie, one of the Bugsnax you can discover in the game.

Besides the new merch, PlayStation announced the game will be a November PlayStation Plus title. Not only will Bugsnax join Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight as PS Plus titles, it'll be the first PS5 game to be free for subscribers. The game will be a PS Plus title till January 4th, 2021 for subscribers. For trophy hunters like me, Young Horses' John Murphy confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that the game will feature two separate trophy lists for PS4 and PS5.

"We’ve been building this charming, weird game for the past six years, with the majority of that time spent working in complete silence," said Murphy on the PS Blog. "So it’s pretty surreal that not only will our game finally be out in the world in just a few weeks, but also that thousands of players will be able to enjoy it on day one of owning their new PS5. It’s been a pretty wild ride."

Bugsnax launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Epic Games Store on November 12. You can preorder the physical edition of the game along with the merch through Fangamer now.
