Today D3 Publisher opened the floodgates of its upcoming action game Bullet Girls Phantasia, releasing a metric ton of screenshots.
Do keep in mind that this is a D3 Publisher game, and a Bullet Girls one to boot, so you can pretty much expect what you’re getting into if the headline wasn’t clear enough. There is a ton of fanservice to be had here.
The story is pretty simple. During a summer camp, the members of the ranger club are engulfed by a blinding light and a roaring sound and find themselves in a fantasy world.
We also get to meet a few of the characters that will appear in the game, including Aya Hinomoto, Yurina Kanezono, Remi Kishiono, Tsukiyo Takanashi, Saki Amamine, Minagi Kamishiro, Aki Saotome, and Mai Douchi, on top of four new girls from the other world, Sylvia Ortensia, Saria Violet, Falen Sealwind, and Melina Iris.
The combat is enriched by the mix of firearms, medieval weapons, and magic, but meeting certain conditions will let you even board a tank and freely use it to wreak havoc.
Of course, there are a ton of panty shots, on top of the possibility for clothes and armor to break when damaged by enemies.
During each mission, you’ll choose a main character named “attacker” and a helper named “buddy” that will act as support. Each character has specific weapons, and tactical selection of that combination can be the key to victory.
Initially, the girls from the other world will see the members of the Ranger club, who use unknown modern weapons, as a threat. By defeating them, you can add them to your team.
Of course, the traditional (and naughty) interrogation training gameplay returns, and this time the camera can be freely rotated around the scene. It’s also possible to interrogate two characters at once, but timing will be of the essence. By using the right item for the interrogation, compatible with each girl, the stimulation will increase tenfold.
You can also select up to three characters to observe an interrogation, in order to play on the embarrassment of being watched to make the training even more effective.
You can check out the tons of screenshots below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy an older trailer. The game will launch in Japan on August 9th for PS4 and PS Vita. No western release has been announced for the moment.
