Bungie Apologizes for Crimson Days Loot RNG; Promises Guaranteed 320 Ghost to All Who Participate

In Bungie’s latest attempt to counteract Bungie’s loot RNG, the developers are promising level 320 Ghosts to all who have played a qualified number of Crimson Doubles matches. News comes by way of Bungie’s blog, where DeeJ noted that Bungie has gotten an insurmountable amount of feedback that the Ghost drop rate is too low.

For those out of the loop, Crimson Days — Destiny’s Valentine’s Day, week-long event — has been raging in the tower, offering new PvP quests and a new mode, Crimson Doubles. Notably, Crimson Doubles has the chance on delivering Valentine’s Day-specific loot, like chocolate or glitter adorned Ghosts that can go up to Light Level 320 (the current cap for levels in Destiny).

Not too long after the new mode opened on February 9th, the Destiny community began noticing that the drop rate for 320 ghosts was low, many people not seeing on in nearly 100 matches. Others devised work-arounds and strategies, like suiciding to maximize the chance of dropping.

Ghosts Destiny

In response, Bungie is offering a guaranteed 320 Ghost to anyone has put in seven matches in Crimson Doubles — not counting suicide attempts. There is no telling whether you will receive the sweet Chocolate Ghost or the rad Crimson Ghost,  but they will be delivered to the Postmaster on February 23, 2016.

If you want in on easy high level loot, you still have a day. Crimson Doubles and Crimson Days closes in Destiny tomorrow, February 16, 2016.
