Bungie Responds to Leak of Upcoming DLC for Destiny

Bungie have responded to a video which surfaced yesterday, showing  hints of unreleased content in Destiny.

Bungie says that the content unveiled by the bug is still in progress, and that the content found is mostly there as a placeholder.

We noticed that you noticed that we already have plans for upcoming content packs in Destiny. We do! They have activity names (which may or may not change) and we have a really good idea what they’re going to contain. They even have placeholder nodes in the Director, as you’ve already discovered.

The bug caused several new areas to be shown of the game map, several of which had already been announced to be part of upcoming DLC. Some fans were angered by this, believing it meant Bungie had purposefully locked out content on the disc.

The first of Destiny‘s expansions titled The Dark Below is set for release in December, and will apparently make use of some of the areas players have discovered through the bug.
