One of the surprises of Nintendo's July Partner Presentation Showcase was the fact that Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer is getting three DLC packs. The first of which launched on the same day as the presentation back in July with the other two tentatively scheduled for release before October. Now, revealed by Nintendo of America's official Twitter account, the second DLC pack has arrived. The second piece of content, titled the Melody Pack, contains 39 newly remixed songs from the Zelda universe. The tracks were created by three different artists and, as is typical with Cadence of Hyrule, contain some awesome remixes.

Although a slightly shallow piece of DLC, the Melody Pack allows you to choose where and when you'll hear each piece of music meaning you can "Play through this rhythmic adventure to the beat of your own drum!"

The first piece of DLC added five new characters into the mix, three from the Zelda series and two from Crypt of the Necrodancer, with each offering their own playstyle. The five characters are Impa, who uses a spear to give her extra reach and a decoy to avoid taking damage, Shadow Link and Shadow Zelda who are shadow versions of the two main characters in Cadence of Hyrule, Aria, who dies after taking damage once and Frederick the shopkeeper who uses rupees to his advantage. You can check out my thoughts on the first DLC pack right now.

The third DLC pack is arguably going to be the biggest. Based off of Majora's Mask, the new story DLC Symphony of the Mask centres around Skull Kid and includes a new map and even more new music. It's likely that that DLC pack will launch around October 23rd to coincide with the release of the physical edition of the game.
