There’s just a few days left until the juggernaut of the FPS world returns to consoles and PC in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. If you’re among the many gamers eagerly awaiting your annual hit of Call of Duty action, then this would be the perfect time to free up a little room on your hard drive, as Activision has just announced the the size of the upcoming game’s day 1 patch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s initial update will require a whopping 112 GB of space to complete the installation process. However, this is not an accuarate representation of the actual patch size, just the space needed to install it. The patch itself will be approximately 50 GB.

Many of the game’s features will be inaccessible until the update is complete including Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters. However, gamers will be able to dive right into the series’ much-anticipated new battle royale mode Blackout in its entirety when the patch reaches about 30% completion (16-20 GB.)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this Friday, October 12, 2018. It can also be pre-ordered from Amazon now. You can also see what we thought of the title’s Blackout mode in our preview.
