Ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's arrival in October, Activision and Treyarch today revealed when fans will be able to first get their hands on the game via the multiplayer beta.

Starting next month on August 3, players who have pre-ordered Black Ops 4 will be able to download and play the private beta, which will last until August 6. This initial private beta will only be available to those playing on PS4. The following weekend from August 10 through August 13, both Xbox One and PS4 players will then both be able to dive in.

As for those playing Black Ops 4 on PC, they will have their own open beta take place beginning on August 11 and lasting until August 13. Unlike on consoles, all you have to do is access Battle.net to try out this beta though those who pre-order it on PC will get an extra day to play starting on August 10.

In addition to the multiplayer beta, Treyarch revealed that in September they will be having another private beta for Black Ops 4's new battle royale game mode, Blackout. While dates and times have not yet been divulged for when this will take place, PS4 players will once again gain first access. More details for this private beta will be given later this Summer.

As mentioned, if you want to dive into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's multiplayer beta for yourself, then be sure to head over to Amazon now to pre-order a copy of the game to ensure that you can gain access. If you'd rather just wait for the full launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to play, then you can pick up the game on October 12 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
