Call of Duty fans would be elated to know that the developers are planning to release multiple remasters after the success of the previous ones.

The Call of Duty franchise has undoubtedly been one of the biggest and most successful in the gaming industry. In the past few years, each iteration of the franchise had no problems breaching the 1$ billion mark in terms of sales merely in a matter of days. However, that changed with Call of Duty: Vanguard, as the fan reception around the game, was nowhere near the others. Not only did the game have a lot of issues, but the players were also disappointed with a plethora of other stuff, such as Zombies.

The messed-up launch of Vanguard is possibly leading to a historical change for the franchise. Apparently, if reports are to be believed, Call of Duty will no longer be having annual releases and we will not be getting a Call of Duty game this year. While Activision is yet to respond on that, several sources have reiterated this which makes it quite possible. Amidst that, Activision has some other plans in the pipeline as well.

Call of Duty 1, 2 or World At War Remaster Possibly Being Planned

According to a new leak by popular Call of Duty leaker Ralph, Activision is not totally moving away from releasing games every year. What that means is that basically, we will not be getting a new installment in the franchise, but players might see a remaster to fill out the gap. Now one might wonder which game will be getting a remaster?

Well, according to the leaker, Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty World At War are the games which we could possibly see in the near future. They also go on to say that a remaster of any other game is "complicated". We should be hearing more about this in the days to come.
