Though Activision and its various Call of Duty developers set a precedent by releasing new titles in the series on Wii U, it appears this year’s installment in the mega-popular shooter series will be skipping Nintendo’s home console, according to the developer.
Sledgehammer Games confirmed that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will not be coming to Wii U, after previous series entries like 2012’s Black Ops II and last year’s Ghosts both released for the system. A tweet from Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey confirmed that the latest Call of Duty title would not be coming to the Wii U, as the option was “an Activision decision” made so that the studio could focus on developing for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 4th, 2014.
@1422644 no, no WiiU. That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC.
