Players lucky enough to attend Gamescom 2018 this week in Cologne, Germany, were treated to the unique opportunity of test-driving one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's new multiplayer maps.

The new map Arsenal was detailed yesterday, but today Activision has released a 12-minute long gameplay video showcasing a battle taking place in the game's Hardpoint mode.

Throughout the video, we get to see what the facility has in store. In the early seconds of the match, the player can be seen ducking down and scrambling through an open air vent to achieve a strategic vantage point as they look out onto a central hub that acts as one of the level's ever-changing Hardpoint locations. Opening up onto the structure is an office window which can be used to quickly jump in and out of the action. Surrounding this are a number of wide corridors and a lobby. The map's outer limits bring the player outdoors into the bright daylight where there are plenty of large objects, barrels, and walls to use as cover while defending the Hardpoint.

Arsenal provides plenty of opportunities for players to change their direction on a dime and strategize in real time. There are a number of places to hide and some great positions to hold in order to keep the opposing team at a disadvantage. It looks like a thoroughly enjoyable multiplayer map.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 12, 2018. The beta for the game's battle royale mode Blackout will be available on September 14.
