Call of Duty: Ghosts’ “Onslaught” DLC Promises “Something Menacing” in New Teaser Video

Call of Duty is known for bringing heart-racing action and thrills, but with the upcoming first DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts, titled “Onslaught,” it looks like they may be adding in a little extra dose of horror to the proceedings, as well.

In a new video posted from Call of Duty‘s official Instagram account, a quick selection of shots from “Onslaught” are shown (accompanied quite well by the theme from John Carpenter’s film, Halloween) as an abandoned house and creepy campfire ground give way to a mysterious axe-wielding player. Maybe for “Extinction” mode, perhaps?

Accompanied along with the Instagram video, Infinity Ward also confirmed following previous rumors that the “Onslaught” DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts will be releasing on January 28th, 2014 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, followed by a release later in the year for other platforms.
