Did you play the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta between September 12 and September 23? If so, you weren't the only one. In fact, it was the biggest beta in franchise history. According to Activision, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta saw the most users, hours played, and highest peak concurrent players across Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Part of this success could be attributed to crossplay which allowed those participating in the beta to play with together, no matter what your preferred platform is. Creative director and co-studio head of Infinity Ward Patrick Kelly says, "We're focused on delivering the best online experience possible and that includes bringing the community together with crossplay." He also states that the team appreciates all of the feedback the player base has shared and that it will help improve the game when it launches next month.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta featured a lot of the multiplayer modes the game will offer at launch. This includes 2v2 Gunfight, Team Deathmatch, and the new large-scale mode Ground War that pins up to 64 players against each other. If you want to see our thoughts on some of the game's multiplayer modes, you can check out our preview of the 2v2 Gunfight mode. We also have a preview that goes more in-depth, including the games nighttime maps and 20-player battles.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch on October 25, 2019. As mentioned above, it will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you are one of the millions of people who played the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta and reached level 10, you will receive a weapon blueprint for the Hammer Shotgun.
