A new blog post by Activision has announced that the season 2 reloaded update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will be released on Wednesday, March 15th at 9AM PT.

The publisher also released a full breakdown of all of the new content set to arrive with the midseason update. Following the release of the new patch, players will have access to a new raid episode, multiplayer map, weapon, bundles, and even a new crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

For Modern Warfare 2 fans, a new multiplayer map will join the game's rotation with season 2 reloaded - Himmelmatt Expo. The new 6v6 map is situated on a European mountainside and will be added to the quick play rotation pool, as well as being featured in a featured playlist for season 2 reloaded.

There's also the return of some fan-favorite party modes, including drop zone, all or nothing, and one in the chamber, all set to arrive with season 2 reloaded next week. Plus, to celebrate the three-year anniversary of Warzone, all players will receive free items through the in-game store that are themed around the maps, seasons, and memories made since the original Warzone's launch on March 10th, 2020.

A new marksman rifle also arrives with the update, the Tempus Torrent. Available in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, this rifle "offers impressive damage and a fast-firing mechanism, making it a great Primary Weapon choice when deploying to the new Himmelmatt Expo Multiplayer map or to Ashika Island," according to Activision.

The Tempus Torrent will have a base capacity of 20 rounds per magazine, whilst boasting a fast fire rate with a predictable recoil pattern. Activision urges players to have a steady hand when equipping the new marksman rifle, as the recoil pattern has a "noticeable kick up and to the left."

Finally, there's the debut of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's infamous villain, Shredder. The bundle can be purchased from the in-game store and include three weapon blueprints all based around weapons from season 2.
