Today, Activision launched a new Call of Duty World War II website, revealing that the next Call of Duty game will be unveiled April 26th, 10 a.m. PDT, aka next Wednesday. The website also confirms that the game is set during World War II, which has long been the speculation.
Further details on what will be revealed, or whether or not the game is simply titled Call of Duty: World War II or if this is a holding name, hasn’t been divulged.
As you may know, it’s Sledgerhammer Games’ turn in the three developer cycle of Call of Duty titles. For those that don’t know Activision has a three studio rotation working on the franchise in order to ensure a new one comes out each year. The other two developers in the trio include Infinity Ward, who just put out Infinite Warfare, and Treyarch of Black Ops fame. Sledgehammer has worked on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 before this.
The reveal will be handled via a livestream. Be sure to check in with DualShockers next Wednesday for all the details.
