Ever since its launch back in 2016, Pokemon Go has been one of the top performing games on mobile. It has grown considerably over the years, and the developers made several changes to the game to make it easier for players to play during the pandemic.

One of the most striking aspects of the game is the sheer amount of updates it receives. Each of these updates add new events, field research tasks and much more. Every month, players can complete these to earn a plethora of rewards. Alongside that, there is a weekly event as well, known as the Spotlight Hour.

Can Finneon be Shiny in Pokemon Go? - Spotlight Hour April 2021

For those who are unaware, the Spotlight Hour is a weekly event in which one Pokemon appears more in the wild. This Pokemon is announced by Niantic and could be any of the Pokemon that is available in the game. Ideally, this helps players catch Pokemon which are not that easily available in the game or have a very low catch rate.

Last week, the Pokemon which was in the Spotlight Hour was none other than Grimer, which hails all the way back from Generation-I. This week, we will be getting Finneon, which was introduced in the game during Holidays 2018 and is from Genration - IV.

Many players are wondering whether Finneon is shiny in the game or not. Well, unfortunately, Finneon's shiny version is not available in the game. The Spotlight Hour only increases the catch rate of that specific Pokemon and doesn't add a shiny variant as such. So if the shiny variant of a Pokemon is not in the game, players will not be getting it during the Spotlight Hour. With the month of May just a few days away, players will be getting many more chances to catch some shiny Pokemon during the Spotlight Hours.
