Pokemon GO's Season of Mischief is here and with it, all sorts of dark twists and turns.

The Mischief Pokemon, Hoopa, made its debut just a couple of days ago and Niantic almost certainly has plenty more in store for players over the next few months - especially considering Halloween isn't too far away.

The latest event of this mischievous period is now upon us and sees the focus shifted onto Psychic-type Pokemon, for this year's Psychic Spectacular.

Within the event, the Revolving Pokemon, Inkay, makes its debut but can it be shiny in Pokemon GO along with its evolution, Malamar? Let's take a look.

What Do Shiny Inkay and Malamar Look Like?

Inkay is a squid-like Pokemon that sports a pinkish top half and a light blue lower half.

Its Shiny form is likely to be one that is highly sought after, due to the fact that it changes from light blue to a nice golden colour as you can see in the embedded tweet below.

Its evolution, Malamar, and its shiny form are likely to be just as popular, with the giant squid changing from purple and blue to a golden-brown colour.

Again, check out the tweet below for an idea of what to expect.

Can Inkay and Malamar be Shiny In Pokemon GO?

Unfortunately, if you liked the look of the two shiny forms above, I have bad news.

Like the majority of Pokemon that get released into Pokemon GO, neither Inkay nor Malamar can be shiny just yet.

It's likely that developers Niantic will hold the pair back for a later event and to cash in on the hype once again. Here's hoping we don't have to wait too long!
