Cancelled Star Wars 1313 May Live On In Some Form

While promoting the new film “The Force Awakens”, head of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy offered some new details on the long-cancelled Star Wars 1313. The mature game was debuted at E3 2012 and showed off the seedy underworld of Coruscant. The game was cancelled in 2013 when LucasArts shut down after the Disney acquisition.

However, the world of Star Wars 1313 may not be entirely dead. When discussing future “Star Wars” stories in all mediums, Kennedy mentioned the prospect of seeing 1313 again.

And there was 1313 the game, where there was….(unbelievable concept art). So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.

While this doesn’t confirm, or even hint at, a new video game, Star Wars 1313 should not be forgotten by fans, as thegame’s world could appear in future films or TV series.
