Capcom Hasn't Forgotten the Blue Bomber

At least not on the iPhone because Mega Man X, one of the Capcom mascot’s most popular adventures, is now available through the App Store. The game plays much like the original with, of course, icons on the touch screen standing in for physical buttons. It’s a lot like the Mega Man 2 port that’s already available.

The sprites themselves are cleaned up a bit and achievements have been implemented because, well, you’ve gotta have achievements these days, right? We’ve got a gameplay video for you after the jump.

It definitely
sounds like Mega Man X, but does it play the same? The soundtrack and sound effects have been retained, but you can tell there are a few missing frames in X’s animation while the rest of the sprites move a bit more fluidly.
