Capcom Hints that Strider 1 & 2 on NA PlayStation Network is a Possibility

February 20, 2014

With the recent release of Strider, there has been more interest than usual in Strider 1 & 2, the franchise’s inaugural titles which were released in arcades in 1989 and 1990 respectively. The two titles are slated for release on the Japanese PlayStation Network with no word on a North American PSN release. Capcom has not counted out the latter, however.

“The PlayStation Classics Strider 1 & 2 are exclusive to Japan,” Capcom Producer James Vance explained, “however, we hear you loud and clear, and you never know what the future may hold ;)” Mr. Vance was responding to a fan question regarding the availability of Strider 1 & 2 on the NA PSN in a recent post on the PlayStation Blog.

Strider was developed by Double Helix Games alongside Capcom’s Osaka Studio and published by Capcom for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
