Capcom Introduces Ex Troopers, Coming to the PS3 and 3DS

Announced in Famitsu, Ex Troopers is an action shooter is a spin-off from the Lost Planet series that will be developed by Monster Hunter producer Shintaro Kojima. Though Ex Troopers shares the same world as Lost Planet, the game will be centered around a school and use an anime visual style. Players will control Bren Turner, a new recruit that has recently arrived to the planet.

Described by Kojima as a “beginner action shooter”, the game will feature “Manga Demo” comic book-style cutscenes like those featured in the upcoming Gravity Rush. The game is apparently 60% complete and will be playable at the Capcom Summer Jam from June 30-July 1 at Tokyo Big Site. Ex Troopers is due to release in Japan later this year, keep your eye out for it.
