The wheels are already in motion for 2019's Capcom Pro Tour as Atlanta, Georgia's Final Round event is scheduled as the season's first stop.
It’s been a busy year for Street Fighter fans and competitors alike. Not only did we see classic characters such as Blanka, Sakura, and Sagat returning to the fold in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, but there were also an almost endless string of tournaments erupting across the globe. With the Capcom Pro Tour 2018 all wrapped up and Gachikun crowned as this year’s champion, it’s time to look forward to what 2019 has in store.
During the final moments of the Capcom Cup, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition producer Yoshinori Ono took to the stage to reveal the latest addition to the ever-evolving game; an evil variation of series’ veteran Ryu who represents the character’s dark side. During the announcement, it was also stated that Capcom Pro Tour 2019 will begin at Final Round.
