Horror fans had a particularly good year in 2014 with the release of titles such as Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within, 2015 still looks to be another great year with the impending release of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 – the release will only have to wait a little longer, however.
In a new post on the Capcom Unity blog, the company announced that the release of Resident Evil: Revelation 2‘s first episode has been delayed by one week, pushing back the debut of the title to February 24th, 2015 from its originally-planned release of February 17th, citing the additional time as needed to “fine-tune the final product.”
Capcom published the full release schedule of the episodic release of the game with Episode 1 to debut on February 24th, Episode 2 on March 3rd, Episode 3 on March 10th, and Episode 4 to conclude the title on March 17th, 2015. Episodes of the game will be available a la carte for $5.99 per episode, while a $24.99 Season Pass will net players the entire season. Following the game’s episodic release, a retail disc of the entire game (plus additional content) will be made available on all platforms in March 2015.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will release for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC starting on February 24th, 2015 – a PS Vita edition of the game will also be arriving this spring.
