Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono Celebrates Street Fighter IV’s Anniversary, Thanks the Community

Today marks the seventh anniversary of the first release of Street Fighter IV, and Capcom’s legendary producer Yoshinori Ono issued what sounds a lot like a mission statement on Twitter.

Below you can read it in its entirety:

It has been a long time since the launch of Street Fighter IV, and we’re almost at the outset of Street Fighter V. I still remember when I first played the first Street Fighter in a beach-side arcade, over two decades ago.

The fighting game community has come a long way since then, even thanks to the support of men like Yoshinori Ono. It’s nice to see that he intends to continue lending his hand.
