Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is Receiving a Labo VR Mode Today
The puzzle game featuring our favorite Mushroom character is next in line to receive a Labo VR mode.
Nintendo released an update today for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker allowing owners of the game to play in VR in a new mode. Players can go through four different courses specifically designed for Labo VR. There is no confirmation on whether or not the VR mode has a co-op option even though the normal game does.
You can get a 360-degree view of each level on the selection screen. If Toad if riding in a minecart you will see the level through his point of view instead of the far camera perspective that the game normally has. The update released today and is free to all owners of the game.
In the past, both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey received VR updates adding new features to each game. While the content that Nintendo releases for VR hasn’t ever been a significant amount, it is still free content that owners can enjoy as long as they own the Nintendo Labo VR Kit.
If you do not have a Labo VR Kit there are two different versions that you can purchase. The Starter Set with Blaster currently sells for $39.99. There is also the more expensive option simply known as the VR Kit which includes the Robot, Variety and Vehicle Kit. The VR Kit is available for $79.99.
We found Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to be “a game that should be missed for those looking for a relaxed mental challenge.” Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is available for purchase on Amazon.
