Carmageddon: Reincarnation Crashes on the Kickstarter Bandwagon

Once upon a time a developer named Stainless Games decided that making a game in which you get involved in massive car crashes and run over pedestrians like a maniac was a good idea. Not surprisingly, when the game got released in 1997, the gaming community agreed, and Carmageddon became a classic hit.

Last year Stainless Games bought back the rights to the IP, that had drifted over to Square Enix, and started to develop a new sequel: Carmageddon: Reincarnation.

While the game has already been in development for a year, the developer is finally resorting to crowd funding in order to raise the budget and create a better game, following the example of other veteran devs that already successfully used Kickstarter to get the necessary funding to revive their frachises.

If you want to have a chance to madly run over pedestrians (or yourself, considering that a pledge of $1000 or more will put your likeness on a defenseless pedestrian in the game), you can head here and pledge your support. The $400,000 goal is far from ureachable.

You can see Stainless Games’ introduction movie, three screenshots and the key art below.
