Revealed during Devolver Digital's wacky E3 2019 press conference, Carrion features an interesting take on the horror genre. Described as a "reverse horror game," Carrion actually lets players take control of the monster and wreak havoc on its victims. While the game isn't ready to release just yet, Devolver Digital does want to keep it in the limelight around Halloween, which is just under one week away. As such, a free demo for Carrion has been released.

Carrion is developed by Butcher's Phobia Game Studio and follows a grotesque, player-controlled monster as it attempts to escape a facility. Even though its a bit disturbing, the pixel art and animation are really slick and it should give players a power trip feeling not common in the horror genre. The demo released today gives players a brief taste of that and should be a good indicator of whether or not you'd be interested in the full game. The demo can be found on Steam and its system requirements are quite low, so most interested players should be able to try it out.
