Castle in the Darkness is a Trip Down Memory Lane

By Jorge Jimenez

August 8, 2014

Dungeons, giant owls and hordes of monsters don’t stand a chance against your 8-bit weaponry. Castle in the Darkness looks like all the fun 8-bit games mashed up into one adorable monster killing good time.

Inspired by games like Zelda, Metroid, and Castlevania, Castle in the Darkness has you reclaiming a castle overrun by monsters overnight as the sole remaining Royal Guard who can fight back. If fighting giant sword-wielding knights and dodging traps are any indication of what to expect then Castle in the Darkness seems like its hitting all the right bits of nostalgia.

Castle in the Darkness hits Steam later this year.
