Polish developer 7Levels unveiled Castle of Heart, a Nintendo Switch exclusive action-platformer inspired by titles like Dark Souls and Castlevania, earlier this year with a vague Q1 2018 release window. Today, the game's developer gave unveiled the game's release date in a new trailer: March 23.

On that date, Castle of Heart will be available in North America, Europe, and Austrailia for $14.99 (or the equivalent in the given region). For those of you who aren't aware, Castle of Heart is a neat looking 2D platformer set in Medieval times and based on Slavic mythology. Players control a knight who has been cursed to turn into stone, so players must keep killing enemies in order to stay alive.

According to 7Levels, the final version of Castle of Heart will be about seven hours long, include 20 levels across four different themed areas, and let players use 50 different types of short and long-range weapons. The addition of a dodge roll and tough enemies makes gameplay even more challenging and methodical.

Having played a bit of the game myself last year at Poznan Game Arena, I can say that Castle of Heart was pretty engaging and fun. You should definitely keep an eye on this title if you like Castlevania and the more methodical pace of Dark Souls.
