When Konami made the decision to reboot their iconic and long running Castlevania series, it was unclear how fans would react to it. With renowned creator Hideo Kojima at the helm, good things were expected. The developers combated series expectations with a solid title that gamers- fans or not- enjoyed, and it paid off.

According to Game Informer, the game has shipped – making a distinction between shipping and selling- one million copies. This is fantastic news for fans of the game and the series. You will probably see an update in the coming months that the game has actually sold one million copies, but this is good news nevertheless.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadows is available on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Check out our positive review of the game here.
