After the entirety of 2019 came and went without a new season, Netflix has today announced when its animated Castlevania series will finally be returning.Arriving almost exactly one month from today, Castlevania season 3 will at long last arrive on Netflix beginning on March 3, 2020. This time around, season 3 will consist of ten new episodes, which is why it likely took a bit longer for the show to make its comeback. Comparatively, season 1 only contained 4 episodes while season 2 had 8 in total. In addition to announcing the launch date, Netflix also released a new poster for Castlevania to celebrate the third season. The poster, which you can see in the tweet below, features a variety of different characters from the series. Some of the most notable characters include Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades.

While I'm personally glad to see that Castlevania is finally coming back, I'm more curious to find out what is up with the Devil May Cry animated series. In case you forgot, Netflix also greenlit an animated series based on DMC back in 2018, which is also being spearheaded by Adi Shankar, the executive producer of Castlevania. Furthermore, Shankar confirmed that Devil May Cry will somehow take place in the same universe as Castlevania. As of this writing, it's still not clear how both shows will be crossing over with one another, but it's definitely going to be intriguing.

And in case you haven't watched the first two seasons of Castlevania and want to catch up before next month, both seasons are currently available to be streamed on Netflix right now.
