To up the ante for the E3 hype, it has just been announced that everyone’s favorite cat burglar Selina Kyle, better known as Catwoman, will be a playable character in the upcoming Arkham City, sequel to the critically acclaimed Arkham Asylum.

British developer Rocksteady Studios has confirmed that Catwoman will be playable through a small part of the story, and will have her own acrobatic upgrades and equipment and will be able to access certain areas that Batman is unable to reach.

However, the title will still be Batman-centric and will focus more on the Caped Crusader’s antics than on Catwoman’s stealth. Check back for more information on Arkham City during our extensive E3 coverage.
