Today, EVE: Online and EVE: Valkyrie developer CCP Games announced that Sparc, its unique virtual sport game for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive will launch sometime in Q3 2017...but only on PS VR.

That's right, Sparc, which was originally pitched to hit Vive, Rift, and PS VR sometime in 2017 will hit PlayStation VR first sometime in Q3 2017, with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift versions planned to follow sometime later in the same year.

For those that don't know: Sparc is a skill-based, fast-paced, physical sport game only possible in VR. In it, players utilize motion controllers to aim and throw projectiles at each other in a virtual arena, while also defending themselves by dodging, blocking, or deflecting incoming attacks.

The game features the ability to play against a friend or vs. a rando with online matchmacking. Additionally, players can also watch Sparc matches in-person and queue up for the next match via "Courtside," a freeform social area that allows for spectating in VR.

Sparc includes multiple two-player modes and a selection of single-player challenges and training modes, as well as as a slab of both customization and personalization options.
