CCP Is Finally About to Launch the Names of EVE Online Players Into Space

on May 7, 2012 12:30 PM

CCP Games promised a while ago to launch the names of every EVE Online player into space (or more precisely into subspace at about 100,000 feet of altitude) protected by the reproduction of the iconic pods that carry capsuleers in the game.

The project is finally reaching its conclusion, and the next favorable launch window may be as near as wednesday.

The launch will be broadcasted live, and users that register here will be warned when it will happen. Information will also be posted on twitter with the hashtag #skywardsphere (someone at CCP must be a Zelda fan).

Below you can see a new video showing the preparations behind the project. My name is going to fly into (sub)space. What about yours?
