Members of the development team for upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 have been moved to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt team, CEO of developer CD Project Red Marcin Iwinski has said.

In order to deal with the massive scale of The Witcher 3, members of the Cyberpunk 2077 team have been moved to help finalise key features of the game, he said.

In order to ship a huge RPG we do use help of certain team members between teams. It works this way between Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3.

Those worried about a delay to Cyberpunk 2077 can lay their concerns to rest. Moving developers across teams is standard development practice, he said, and won't impact the development of the cyberpunk RPG.

We are working hard to deliver an outstanding RPG and rest assured, that all the learnings on The Witcher 3 are being applied to the Cyberpunk 2077 development.

This follows yesterday's announcement that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt  has been delayed until 2015.
