After teasing the reveal of an upcoming strategy plan on Twitter, CD Projekt Red has now officially announced a new IP, currently titled 'Hadar'. Alongside the announcement, CD Projekt Red also confirmed various other projects were in the works, such as a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and plenty more.

The grand scheme revolves around 3 main axes, the empowerment of existing IPs through new single-player and multiplayer content, in addition to associations with other mediums such as mobile, books, TV and film. But, most of all, preserving the quality of these new products, which is a primary focus according to their meeting minutes.

The Witcher fans will be receiving three main projects, and all of them seem to be in pre-production at the moment. The first is a single-player open-world RPG by a third-party studio of ex-Witcher veterans, code-named 'Sirius'. Another one will be a new innovative take on the franchise by The Molasses Flood, and the project is labelled Canis Majoris.

The third one is the most anticipated sequel to the Witcher 3, and the beginning of a new Witcher trilogy. The Polaris release will be the priority and the other games will follow in a planned 6-year release. Cyberpunk 2077 will also be getting its own sequel, currently codenamed as Project Orion, in addition to the currently announced Phantom Liberty DLC, and just like Polaris, it will be developed 100% internally.

Last but not least, a new third IP, called project Hadar will also be developed internally and released alongside The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077. Development on the project has not started yet, and It's still in a conceptual phase, but CD Projekt Red has expressed a great interest in adding multiplayer to all their games and expanding on their stories in various ways, in addition to announcing a partnership with Epic Games to use their Unreal Engine for all their future developments.

Other interesting pieces of information include CD Projekt's drive to expand through merchandise and join with multiple external terms to open a path for varied product types, including mobile gaming. Along with that, they have released the total lifetime sales for both the Witcher series (65+ million units) and Cyberpunk 2077 (20+ million units), which is an enormous success for both IPs on a worldwide level.

All of this has reflected strongly on the company's plans to move steadily towards the future without letting go of the past, in addition to their ever-evolving narratives and expanded worlds that will continue to provide fans with exceptional quality material in all fields of entertainment.
