Why Was CDNThe3rd Banned From Twitch?

At 4PM PT, CDNThe3rd went live on Twitch to host a watch party for the anticipated exhibition bout between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul.

CDNThe3rd was perfectly aware that broadcasting a PPV to an audience is illegal. So, to prevent any sort of negative impact coming his way, he showed no footage or audio from the bout.

The live stream simply consisted of people watching him watch the Mayweather vs Paul fight. Although this might seem strange, many fans will watch their favourite personalities side-by-side to a fight in order to get their personal commentary on it.

Unfortunately for CDNThe3rd, doing this somehow led to his ban from Twitch. CDN is likely scratching his head as to why he could have been banned for commentating over the fight with no audio or video.

According to Zach Bussey on Twitter, he claims that the ban will come from the Paul brothers themselves and NOT the Twitch staff. He also claims that "Amateur Play by Play violates copyright. Broadcasting an audio description of events without the proper right indeed would garner a valid DMCA".

Twitch nor CDN are yet to comment on the ban. If the ban was enforced correctly, it will likely last for a total of 3 days.
