CG 2012: LittleBigPlanet Karting Fills a Kart Racing Void

on August 14, 2012 8:22 PM

I grew up on kart racing, back in the days of the original Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 (the two best, in my very humble opinion). While there have been others since, Sony has pushed one of the most recognizable faces of its company’s games to the front and center of the latest offering in the genre.

LittleBigPlanet Karting puts Sackboy and friends behind the wheel of this fast-paced racer that may remind you of another Sony offering of recent years (ModNation Racers). Just like that game, and LittleBigPlanet itself you’ll be able to create courses and trick out your Sackboy (or girl) with all sorts of different customization options.

We have below the trailer shown off today at Gamescom that runs through some of the game’s basic features and the variety of action-oriented tracks that can be produced. LittleBigPlanet Karting hits the PlayStation 3 on November 6, 2012.
