The much-awaited Chainsaw Man anime is only a few days away from its worldwide release, so MAPPA recently hosted an online event to reveal more details about the TV series. In a brief live stream, the creators talked about the amazing voice cast of Chainsaw Man while also releasing a brand-new trailer.

The first trailer of Chainsaw Man was indeed amazing, but the second one gives us a better look at all the characters. In the trailer, we can see Denji flexing his violent and terrifying Chainsaw Man form against some powerful Devils. Besides him, we can also see characters like Makima, Power, Captain Kishibe, and Aki Hayakawa in the new trailer. However, the major highlight of the trailer is definitely the "Kick Back" opening song from Kenshi Yonezu.

Previously, several rumors stated that the first season of Chainsaw Man would have 24 episodes; however, MAPPA recently confirmed that they're going with 12 episodes instead. The anime will premiere on October 11th, 2022, and will follow a weekly release schedule on Crunchyroll, so you'll get Chainsaw Man content for around three months (If there are no unscheduled breaks).

Interestingly, the creators also confirmed that each episode of Chainsaw Man would have a different ending song. Several talented artists are coming together to give us a unique experience in the first season; here's the complete list:

  • "Katagiri 2-oku centimeter" - Maximum the Harmone
  • "ALL KINDS OF KISSES" - Ano
  • "Fight Song" - Eve
  • "Deep Down" - Aimer
  • "Rendezvous" - Kanaria
  • "In the Back Room" - Syudou
  • "Violence" - Queen Bee
  • "Time Left" - Zutomayo
  • "First death" - TK from Ling tosite sigure
  • "Tablet" - Tooboe
  • "CHAINSAW BLOOD" - Vaundy
  • "DOGLAND" by People 1

The first part of the Chainsaw Man manga series has a total of 97 chapters, but it's hard to say if MAPPA will adapt Part 1 to its entirety in just 12 episodes. There are chances that the anime will return with a second season (or a second cour) to complete the first part's story. That'll give Tatsuki Fujimoto enough time to move ahead with the story of Chainsaw Man Part 2, and by the time MAPPA completes Part 1, the studio will have the required source material to start working on more seasons.
