Tatsuki Fujimoto returned with Part 2 of Chainsaw Man last month, and so far, the mangaka has delivered four spectacular chapters. However, after introducing us to some completely new characters, Fujimoto is going on a short break. So, fans will have to wait a few more days to get the much-awaited Chapter 102 of Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man Part 2 follows a weekly release schedule, so fans were expecting Chapter 102 to drop on August 10th. However, Tatsuki Fujimoto confirmed that the manga would go on a hiatus this week, and the next chapter will be available to read on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. However, the release date would be Tuesday, August 16th, for some international fans because of the time difference.

The mangaka didn't give any exact reason for the one-week hiatus. So, it's safe to assume that it's a usual break to give the author some time to relax and focus on his health. The good thing is that the manga will return in just a few days, and you'll soon get to read Chapter 102 for free on Viz Media and Manga Plus.

Part 2 of the manga series focused on the origin story of Asa Mitaka, who made a contract with the War Devil. This new Devil eliminated all of Asa's enemies, but now, it wants to defeat the legendary Chainsaw Man. War Devil forces Mitaka to join the Devil Hunter group at the school to learn more about Chainsaw Man's identity. Asa doesn't get to meet Denji yet, but she does find some new friends.

It's clear that Tatsuki Fujimoto is setting up Mitaka as the primary character of Part 2, but fans are now getting impatient to see Denji's return in the manga. In the previous chapter, Mitaka and Yuko get attacked by the Bat Devil, and War Devil finds it difficult to take over Asa's body. So, several fans think it's a perfect opportunity for Denji to come out of the shadows and save the day. Well, that's the community's prediction for the next chapter, but we'll have to wait until next week to see if it's true.
